Undergraduate Programme in Astronomy (hereafter, UPA) belongs to the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (hereafter, FMNS) Bandung Institute of Technology (hereafter, ITB). UPA was first awarded the subject-based ASIIN seal from 26 June 2015 until 23 July 2016. After completing all ASIIN’s requirements during that period, the award has been extended until 30 September 2020. Since 2015, UPA has been conducting continuous improvement in many aspects, especially in degree programme’s structure, method, and implementation and resources based on the results of a closed-loop of quality management processes (plan-do-check-action) which take into account the stakeholders’ demands as well as recommendations from accreditation boards, both national (Badan Akreditasi Nasional Perguruan Tinggi (BAN-PT), or in English National Accreditation Agency of Higher Education (NAAHE)) and international (ASIIN).
UPA is evolving towards the vision and is also driven by the mission which are formulated based on the vision and mission of ITB as well as those of FMNS.
